Bioflex is a medically-approved plastic which is hypoallergenic and biocompatible. It is highly flexible, meaning that it moves with the body and transparent. Beware that it is advised to wear only for small period of time and cannot meet proper standards for implantability in the human body.
Externally threaded jewelry has the screw attached to the post and not the end contrary to internally threaded piercings. The barbell is thus not so smooth and can hurt your skin when passed through the piercing hole, so be careful !
